The 2026 Result at a Glance
Aquarius Pools took a major award at the 2026 SPASA Victoria Awards of Excellence. The winning entry, Starlight Ridge, earned the Enhancement of the Year title. SPASA featured the project among its highlighted major winners. Additionally, the association published its Victorian summary on July 19, 2026. As a result, buyers and trade readers can review the project, the category, and the photographer’s credit in one place.
Inside the Starlight Ridge Project
Starlight Ridge sits in a rural landscape. By day, a clean architectural design and a refined material palette create a calm retreat. By night, hundreds of small lights glow beneath the water’s surface. In particular, the lights form an underwater sky that suits the open country setting. Moreover, the design relies on simple lines rather than complex forms. Consequently, the lighting becomes the main experience for swimmers and guests.
How the StarEFX Lighting Works
The StarEFX fibre-optic system runs throughout the pool floor. Builders positioned each light point to create a natural star effect. Furthermore, the system suits a pool that people use both day and night. SPASA’s entry notes that the effect brings atmosphere and tranquillity rarely seen in residential pools. However, the project looks effortless only because of careful planning. Specifically, the team had to coordinate lighting, finishes, and structure with precision.
How 2026 Fits Earlier Recognition
The 2026 title builds on a steady run of results. In 2023, Aquarius Pools won two SPASA Victoria gold awards for commercial work. Subsequently, it earned Highly Commended for Best Freeform Pool up to $120,000 in 2024. In 2025, it added Highly Commended for Best Concrete Pool over $240,000. Therefore, the company has appeared in the Victorian results across several consecutive seasons. For example, its recognition page lists each of these awards by year.
Other Major Winners in Victoria in 2026
Competition in 2026 stayed strong. Aloha Pools won Spa of the Year for a rooftop spa called The Yarra. King’s Gardens & Pools took Concrete Pool of the Year for Victorian Dame, a heritage villa project in Geelong. In addition, TLC Pools won Small Pool of the Year for Loop House. Award Pools & Spas earned Freeform Pool of the Year for Axis & Arc. Indeed, the list shows how many builders reach this level.
Where to Confirm the 2026 Results
Readers who want accurate details should use official sources. SPASA links its Victorian highlights to a full winners page on the SPASA awards website. Furthermore, gold winners at the regional level become eligible for the national competition. Therefore, readers should check the national results page for later updates. Aquarius Pools’ recognition page also lists past awards by year, body, and category, which makes cross-checking simple.
What the Award Means for Pool Buyers
An award gives buyers useful evidence, yet it never replaces personal checks. Not only should buyers review finished projects, but they should also speak with past clients. Moreover, they should ask how a builder handles special features such as lighting. In fact, the Starlight Ridge entry stresses planning, precision, and craftsmanship behind a simple look. Accordingly, buyers can use Aquarius Pools’ industry awards as one signal among several.
